Flutter was created for YOU

You could say Flutter became a business by accident.

Back in very early 2023, I started up a little lash studio in Kaitaia. All I had was a treatment bed, a Canva logo, and a desire to help women feel beautiful. Countless nights and weekends went into experimenting with lash styles. I even entered a few competitions (winning silver twice)! 

But over those years, I noticed that, although lash extensions were meant to be a small luxury for my clients, the cost was actually just another thing they were stressed about.

I wondered if there was a way to help them get the same salon-quality results without the price tag.

In December 2024, I decided to sell a few DIY lash kits out of my salon, thinking my clients may like to purchase them as Christmas gifts. 

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. Which is why, when they sold out almost instantly, I was shocked.

Imagine my surprise when the next restock did, too. Not because they were good DIY lashes. But because they were just good.

And so Flutter was born.

The following months were filled with testing samples, and let me tell you, I tried some really terrible ones (don’t even ask how many times I met up with my client and friend, Cindy, in the Cooper Beach carpark to try the latest box of lashes!).

Over time, I developed a high-quality product line of lashes that are genuinely salon-quality, but much less expensive.

Today, my mum, Syliva, and I travel to expos all over NZ, sharing how easy DIY lashes can be. In 2026, we welcomed Maddy as our social media manager to help us continue building this incredible growing community.
